Join us for the June edition of our meetup and workshop on Creativity and Neuroscience. This time we take a look at the beautiful world of imaging and the visualization techniques scientists use to answer questions of perception.
In a presentation we will introduce you to a series of imaging methods such as Ultrasound, Magnetic-Resonance, Optical and Nuclear Imaging used in neuroscience research to study perception. In revealing its findings, we will recognize and appreciate the artistic aspect of neuroscience.
Following, you will be able to meet-and-greet, get to know and connect with likeminded individuals to build and establish our community around and between art and science.
Our workshop element of this event will involve a guided investigation into our perception of the visual field by Tobias Lippek.
EDGE is a non-profit organization so the event is free and donations to cover the rent of the location and create future events are very much appreciated!
About >top:
An association for the Promotion of Cultural Practice, >top has been operating in Berlin since June 2002. Our members are artists, researchers and activists, whose activities range from individual research to curating project space to international collaboration. Our infrastructure supports projects that pursue an interdisciplinary approach, support international exchange or deal with non-commercial attitudes. This includes, but is not limited to, a project space, a biolab, and a web server.
About EDGE:
We are international group of artist-scientists, a community, with a keen interest, and varied perspectives on the intersections between art and neuroscience.
Our summer multi-media exhibition is at the heart of what EDGE is, showing art from and about neuroscience held the last week of July. We aim to share the beauty of our nervous system and to bridge the divide between the lab and the outside world.
